CyberFront
From ComputerVault
CyberFront is simply a ComputerVault Cluster hosting only Virtual
Desktops that are deployed on-premises. The virtual desktops are used
to manage user access to an organization’s resources and data. It is the
option for organizations that do not wish to change their virtualization or
cloud platforms, but who want to adopt high performing virtual desktops
and use them as their end-user’s primary computing device. Like every
ComputerVault Cluster the virtual desktops are managed with the
existing active directory implementation and provide secure access to
the organization’s network.
With its built-in cybersecurity, CyberFront is intended to mitigate user
originated cyberthreats by acting as an intermediary between the end-
users and the organization’s IT infrastructure. CyberFront virtual
desktops may be accessed from any location and at any time with thin-
clients, soft-clients or a web browser and are ideal for use both in-office
and remotely. They both reduce malware threats and improve data
protection, while providing a highly productive end-user environment.
Since CyberFront only maintains a secure conduit to access data and
resources, but is not used for hosting applications and data,
deployments are rapid and very low risk for organizations that only want
to adopt virtual desktops.
CyberFront is a managed private cloud, that may be located anywhere. It
sits outside the organization’s firewall, and the CyberFront Virtual
Desktops do not contain any corporate data. Although CyberFront is a
managed service, just as ComputerVault is, the administrators have no
access to organizational resources or data. Administrators support the
private cloud and ensure its availability and optimal performance. With
its multi-cloud architecture, CyberFront accesses resources and data
which may be hosted in any location, i.e., on-premises, datacenter, or
public clouds.
Since the Virtual desktops use the same operating system as physical
PCs and are accessible from both the LAN and WAN with no degradation
of performance, CyberFront Virtual Desktops are the desktop-of-choice
as the primary end-user computing device.
